T yee Park Elementary School will celebrate diversity and honor local veterans with a special concert titled “A Great New Day” at 12:30 p.m. Thursday. It features the school’s student choir, Joint Base Lewis-McChord’s Dixieland Band, Lt. Gov. Brad Owen and Tuskegee Airmen from Seattle’s Sam Bruce Chapter. The Lakes High School Concert Choir and guest soloists also will perform. A reception will follow for guests to meet the Tuskegee Airmen.
