Voting in the Richland and Pasco school districts' special election for multimillion-dollar bond proposals ends today.
The secretary of state's office says more than a million voters -- almost a third of the state's voters -- were asked to decide 95 measures in 81 districts, including Pasco and Richland.
Pasco is seeking $46.8 million from its taxpayers to build two new elementary schools and an early learning center. The money also would relocate New Horizons High School.
Richland wants $98 million to build a new middle school and new elementary school, rebuild three elementary schools, replace the heating and cooling system at Chief Joseph Middle School, make improvements at Fran Rish Stadium, replace a wing at Jefferson Elementary School and find a permanent home for the Three Rivers Homelink alternative school.
All ballots must be in the auditor's office or official dropbox by 8 p.m. today or postmarked no later than today.
