Kid beat out his brother Cisco on Tuesday at the Westminster Kennel Club dog show in New York.
The two miniature bull terrier litter mates, owned by Alex and Deb Guerrero of Graham, were competing for Best of Breed in the prestigious competition. Kid repeated his 2012 performance and took the top honor while Cisco came in third place.
Kid, Cisco and their competitors were led by their handlers in tight circles for judge David Alexander before being lifted on to a table for close inspection. The dogs were judged against a standard a set of rules for each breed that establishes ideal size, temperament, appearance and gait, among others.
Despite Kids earlier success in the day, he didnt earn the title of Best in Show. That honor went to Banana Joe, an Affenpinscher.
Though Cisco lost to his brother, hell soon be on a plane to England to compete in the worlds largest dog show, Crufts.
It was the 137th year for Westminster. Only the Kentucky Derby is older among American sporting events. There were 2,721 dogs in more than 180 breeds competing in this years Westminster. All are either champions or major award winners.
