Voters in the Concrete School District renewed a maintenance and operations levy for the schools in the Tuesday, Feb. 12, election.
The levy passed with more than 66 percent of the vote, according to updated results released Wednesday afternoon. While the majority of the school district is in Skagit County, a sliver is in Whatcom County.
The vote approves a three-year, $4.8 million levy starting in 2014.
The school levies were approved by voters in Nampa, Coeur d'Alene, Post Falls and Harrison, as well as in the northern Idaho counties of Bonner and Boundary.
TOUCHET -- Touchet School District's bond to renovate the Touchet Secondary School building was passing with 60 percent approval in preliminary election results Tuesday night.
Touchet School District voters also supported the replacement of its expiring maintenance and operations levy with 69 percent approval.
Fundraiser aims to help heart transplant fund
Nampa School District voters on Tuesday overwhelmingly approved a $4.3 million one-year levy to help fill a revenue shortfall caused by a series of budgeting and accounting errors during the past two years. The levy passed with 74 percent approval in a 4,807 to 1,732 vote.
In Middleton School District, a 10-year, $250,000 plant-and-facilities levy to replace one that expires in a year received 60 percent approval but needed two-thirds to pass.
Voter turnout was about 18 percent, according to Canyon County Elections.
In Nampa, voters are being asked to help fill a $4.3 million hole.
The Nampa School District holds a one-year $4.3 million supplemental levy election March 12. Early voting is under way now.
