A 59-year-old Olympia man was arrested Wednesday morning on an assault charge after brandishing a sawed-off shotgun at the driver of a septic truck on Steamboat Island Road.

The incident stemmed from a case of road rage, according to Thurston County Sheriff’s Lt. Greg Elwin.

The man was upset with the septic driver, got out and showed the gun. No shots were fired, Elwin said.
