The Buffalo Bills released cornerback Terrence McGee on Thursday.

The 10-year veteran had injury problems the past three seasons. He played seven games last year, recording eight tackles before going on injured reserve after Week 9. He played just six games in 2011 and nine games in 2010.

"Terrence has been a contributor to the Bills organization for 10 years and we thank him for his efforts on the field and off," said Bills general manager Buddy Nix. "We wish him the best of luck in the future."

A fourth-round draft pick in 2003, McGee, along with kicker Rian Lindell and defensive end Chris Kelsay, were the longest-tenured Bills on last year's roster.

In 122 games with Buffalo, McGee has 519 tackles, 17 interceptions and three sacks, and earned two All-Pro berths in 2004 and 2005.

McGee was also a kick return specialist, with five kickoff return touchdowns. On Christmas Eve 2005 against the Bengals, he returned a 99-yard kickoff for a touchdown and later recorded a 46-yard interception for another score, becoming the first player in NFL history to return a kickoff and an interception for a touchdown in a game.

In addition, the Bills signed quarterback Aaron Corp and offensive lineman Hutch Eckerson.
