BELLINGHAM - Utility work will close part of East Maple Street Tuesday, Feb. 19.
The road will be closed from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. between North State Street and Railroad Avenue, as crews complete work on cables.
No vehicle access will be allowed during the work.
BLAINE - Parts of H Street will be closed to vehicle traffic for two days starting Tuesday, May 7, while the road is being paved.
The closure will be from the Interstate 5 overpass to Fourth Street, with intermittent closures of intersections for side street paving.
Detours will be in place during the work, scheduled to end Wednesday, May 8.
Work on the blue bridge will slow traffic today and Wednesday on Highway 395.
The state is placing LED lighting, which it says is longer lasting and more energy efficient, on the bridge.
The state Department of Transportation will close the Lewis Street on-ramp and close the highway's right southbound lane between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. today.
Utility work along Trosper Road in Tumwater will snarl up traffic Monday, according to a news release.
The Bellingham Public Works Department said the following roads will have traffic limitations during the week of the week of February 25-March 1, 2013, to accommodate construction and repair.
Alley between Pacific and Orleans streets
The alley between Pacific and Orleans streets from Virginia to Illinois streets will be closed to through traffic while Interwest Construction, under contract with the City of Bellingham, replaces the sewer main line. BELLINGHAM - The Iowa Street onramp to southbound Interstate 5 will be closed for a few hours Thursday, March 14, so crews can replace a damaged guardrail.
The ramp will be closed from 10 a.m. to about 3 p.m., according to the state Department of Transportation.
Detour signs will direct drivers to the Sunset Drive onramp during the closure.
