Volunteers needed for Run for Ribbons

The Tri-Cities Cancer Center seeks volunteers to help prepare for the annual Run for Ribbons event April 27.

A planning meeting for the volunteer committee, which will deal with logistics, publicity and sponsorship, is scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday at the center, located at 7350 W. Deschutes Ave., Kennewick.

  • VOLUNTEER: People needed to help restore Morse Preserve

    People are needed to join the Morse Force volunteers in continuing the restoration of the Morse Wildlife Preserve. The group and community volunteers will gather Feb. 23 to plant native trees, remove Scotch broom and do other restoration activities that will support the health of the preserve.

  • Volunteer group to honor members Wednesday

    Kennewick police Chief Ken Hohenberg will speak at the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program's Recognition Breakfast.

    The breakfast will be from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Memories at Sunset Event Center, 915 bypass highway, Richland.

    The breakfast will honor volunteers who logged 30 hours or more in a year.

  • Foundation seeks volunteer host families

    Face the World Foundation is seeking volunteer host families to host a high school student this fall.

    Host families provide a home and meals for students and help students experience the United States.

    Volunteer applications will be accepted through June 15.
