The Thurston County Mainstream Republicans will host a talk by Alex Hays, director of the state Mainstreamers group, at their monthly luncheon Wednesday in Lacey.

The Thurston County Mainstream Republicans will host a talk by Alex Hays, director of the state Mainstreamers group, at their monthly luncheon Wednesday in Lacey.

The event starts at noon at Hawks Prairie Restaurant, and the admission is $2 per person, plus lunch. For details, call Dorothy Milhollin at 360-456-2992.

    Since its founding in 1990, Sonos has been at the forefront of handbell artistry, according to a news release. The group has moved hand-bells into the musical mainstream by using the best transcriptions and original material available, the release said. The Berkeley, Calif.-based ensemble travels all across the U.S., Europe, and Asia to perform.

    Admission is by season tickets, or $25 for adults and $10 for students.
