Fire investigators say a garage fire in Allyn caused $150,000 in damage Monday.

Fire investigators say a garage fire in Allyn caused $150,000 in damage Monday.

Central Mason Fire and EMS firefighters were called to the 18000 block of E. state Route 3 at 6:35 a.m. to find a garage engulfed in flames.

The homeowner was up using her microwave when she saw smoke coming from the garage. Her husband went out to look and saw the inside of the garage filled with flames.

The house, as well as another home to the north of the garage were damaged by heat.

No one was hurt. The cause of the fire is under investigation, but is believed to be accidental.

In addition to Central Mason Fire, Mason County Fire District 2, District 3, District 6, District 11, Public Utility District 3, Pierce County Fire District 16 and local law enforcement also responded.
