F eb. 9 — Two men were arrested for allegedly stealing several clothing items and some jewelry from a department store. Both were booked into the Pierce County Jail on charges of third-degree theft. One man also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The goods were recovered from the suspects’ vehicle.

Two Hermiston women were arrested on forgery charges after police say they were involved in a counterfeit ring that produced fake payroll checks.
The women were arrested by Hermiston police for allegedly making and passing the fake checks from several businesses, said Hermiston Police Chief Jason Edmiston. The arrests were a result of a monthlong investigation.
Brianna Marie Roach, 19, and Alexandra Maria Rogers, 22, were arrested Thursday and booked into the Umatilla County jail.
