F eb. 3 — An officer who made a routine bar check at Half Time Sports Saloon was told of a driver of a suspicious recreational vehicle who picked up an intoxicated woman and drove away. The RV was discovered some time later. The man who was driving the vehicle had his license suspended, and he didn’t have a registration for the vehicle. In addition, the officer saw the woman in question from the bar. The suspect said the woman is a friend who drinks while she takes methadone for opiate addiction history. He also said he was ferrying the RV from a Seattle show to the area, and that he was the manager of the dealership. When the officer contacted the dealer, the man reported the suspect is only a salesman, not a manager, and that he had taken the RV without permission. The dealer asked for charges to be brought against the suspect for theft. The suspect was subsequently arrested for driving with a suspended license, and he was cited for operating an unregistered vehicle.
