Three people were injured after a motor home collided with a semi tractor-trailer on Interstate 5 near Chehalis Tuesday morning.
Donald E. Rodgers, 66, of Shelton was driving north in the left lane of the interstate in a motor home next to a semi truck at around 10:53 a.m., according to a Washington State Patrol news release.
The driver of the semi truck, Patrick M. Kiser, 27, of Kelso, tried to merge into the left lane. The motor home collided with the rear of the semi truck, the release said.
Kiser was uninjured.
Rodgers and one of his passengers, 18-year-old Debra A. Carter of Lacey, were taken by ambulance to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Centralia.
Rodger's second passenger, Patricia J. Rodgers, 71, of Shelton, was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. Charges are pending.
