The Pasco School District will have an orientation session Tuesday for people interested in applying for the vacant position on the Pasco School Board.

The session will be at 4:30 p.m. at the administrative offices at 1215 W. Lewis St. It will provide information on the roles and responsibilities of being a board member.

Board member Jeffrey Dong resigned his seat on the board earlier this month. He has not attended a meeting in more than a year because of illness and said in a letter to the board he did not anticipate being able to return in the near future.

Applications for the position are due to the district by March 8. Board members will review the applications and interview finalists in mid-March.
