It was the second consecutive win over a ranked team by the Bulls (19-7 overall, 8-5 Big East), who beat No. 12 Louisville on Wednesday and have won three in a row.

The Orange (22-4, 10-3) had a six-game winning streak snapped.

Carmen Tyson-Thomas led Syracuse with 17 points.

All-American center Brittney Griner outscored Texas by herself in the first half as the top-ranked Bears (26-1, 15-0 Big 12) beat the Longhorns (10-16, 3-12), 67-47, in Waco, Texas. Griner scored 20 of her 30 points in the first half as Baylor led the Longhorns at halftime, 30-16, en route to its 54th consecutive home win. … No. 3 Connecticut (25-2, 12-1 Big East) rolled to a 90-30 home win over Seton Hall (9-18, 4-10), UConn’s 29th victory in a row over the Pirates. Seton Hall’s starters missed their first 15 shots and UConn held the Pirates, who are led by former Seattle Storm coach Anne Donovan, without a basket for the first 61/2 minutes of the second half. … Senior forward Toni Young recorded her fourth consecutive double-double and reached a rebounding milestone in No. 23 Oklahoma State’s 83-62 home victory over Oklahoma (19-8, 9-6 Big 12). Young had 17 points, her 34th consecutive game scoring in double figures, and 12 rebounds, which gave her 1,004 in her career. She became the third to reach 1,000 career points and 1,000 career rebounds for the Cowgirls (19-7, 8-7). … St. John’s (15-10, 9-4 Big East) won at home, 61-48, over Rutgers (14-12, 5-8), denying Scarlet Knights Hall of Fame coach C. Vivian Stringer her 900th career victory.
