A masked man armed with a knife robbed the Texaco at 2020 Black Lake Blvd. in Olympia about 8:30 p.m. Sunday, according to Olympia police.
The clerk called to report the robbery. Responding officers learned that the suspect had entered the store wearing a mask and a hooded sweatshirt. The clerk said the suspect demanded that he give him money and several items and threatened to stab him if he did not comply, police said.
Olympia police Sgt. Aaron Jelcick said Monday morning he did not want to describe the items taken by the man, because that is information known only to police and the suspect.
The clerk handed the suspect the items, and he left. A K-9 team was deployed, and the suspect was tracked to a parking lot where the trail was lost.
Anyone with information about this case is urged to call Olympia police at 360-753-8300 or Thurston County Crime Stoppers at 360-493-2222. Callers may remain anonymous.
