Writers will have an opportunity to read their original work for five minutes during Gig Harbor’s first open mic night, sponsored by The Writers Connection.
The event will take place from 6:45 to 8:45 p.m. March 14 at Spiro’s Restaurant in downtown Gig Harbor. Seven to 10 writers in various genres are needed.
All requests for reading should be sent by Feb. 28 to truwryter@comcast.net. The open mic will begin with a 20-minute reading by Wendy Hinman, author of “Tightwads on the Loose.” Readers will then have five minutes to read from their original work, which may include fiction, nonfiction, screenwriting or poetry.
