    Northwest Avenue at McLeod Road Traffic will be intermittently reduced to one lane along Northwest Avenue and McLeod Road while Strider Construction, under contract with the City of Bellingham, continues construction of the roundabout. Work this week will require lane closures on McLeod west of Northwest. Flaggers will direct traffic through the lane closures.   • Blue bridge lighting work to cause delays

    Work on the blue bridge will slow traffic today and Wednesday on Highway 395.

    The state is placing LED lighting, which it says is longer lasting and more energy efficient, on the bridge.

    The state Department of Transportation will close the Lewis Street on-ramp and close the highway's right southbound lane between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. today.
