AARP releases schedule for safe driving classes

AARP has released the schedule for its upcoming driver safety courses.

w 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 12-13 at the Pasco Senior Center, 1315 W. Seventh Ave., Pasco.

To enroll, call 545-3459.

w 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 13-14 at the Richland Community Center, 500 Amon Park Drive, Richland.

To enroll, call 942-7529.

w 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 21-22 at the Kennewick Senior Center, 500 S. Auburn, Kennewick.

This class includes a lunch break.

To enroll, call 585-4303.

Each class is $12 for AARP members and $14 for non-members.

Participants who complete the course will qualify for insurance rate reductions.

    A Senior Scam Jam will be held April 25, in Nampa to help senior citizens, their caregivers and people with disabilities to learn about the latest trends in frauds and scams.

  • Parenting classes being offered in Kennewick School District starting Jan. 29

    The Kennewick School District is offering "Love and Logic" parenting classes.

    Participants will learn practical tools to raise responsible children, according to the district.

    Class discussions will focus on topics including responsibility and consequences for bad behavior.
