This back-and-forth affair came right down to the wire – with the No. 4 Bullpups (25-4) ending the game with five guards on the floor because of foul trouble.
The sixth-ranked Vikings (22-4) got as close as 61-59 after Alex Hagen’s 3-pointers with 39 seconds remaining. Gonzaga Prep’s Kayla Leland answered with a pair of free throws, but Inglemoor blew a chance to keep it a one-possession game when it turned the ball over for a breakaway layup.
Leland led Gonzaga Prep with 19 points. Laura Stockton added 16. Hagen and Kelly Conroy had 16 points apiece for Inglemoor, which made nine 3-pointers to stay in contention throughout.
The Bullpups registered their best state finish in school history. They placed fifth last season after a final-day defeat to Mount Rainier.
