Corey Langerveld scored 20 points and Pullman rallied past Anacortes to claim the Class 2A boys state basketball championship Saturday at the Yakima SunDome.

The Seahawks (22-6) led by five points early in the fourth quarter, but then went cold and didn’t score again for nearly five minutes.

In all, the Greyhounds (27-1) held Anacortes to five fourth-quarter points, with all of those coming from Sam D’Amelio, who scored 16 in the game.

Toledo 38, King’s 27: Brennan Rakoz scored 10 of his game-high 14 points in the second half to lead the Indians (26-1) to their first Class 1A state championship in Yakima.

Brian Hughes and Caleb Taylor each scored six points to lead the Knights (21-7).

St. George’s 50, Colfax 28: Erik Muelheims scored 26 points and and the Dragons (29-1) earned their first Class 2B boys state title with a rout over the defending champion Bulldogs (22-8).

Will Tender added 13 points and Dexter Sienko had 15 rebounds for the dragons, whose only loss came to Class 2A champion Pullman.

Brady Ellis scored nine points for Colfax, which dropped its fifth game to St. George’s this season.

Sunnyside Christian 44, Neah Bay 36: Brandon Broersma had 12 points, 13 rebounds and a tournament-record 11 blocked shots to carry the Knights (27-2) past the Red Devils (19-4) for the Class 1B state title in Spokane.

GIRLS

Brewster 72, Castle Rock 41: Chandler Smith scored 26 points to lead the Bears (26-1) to a rout of the Rockets (26-1) in the 1A championship in Yakima.

Smith made 10 of 19 shots, including 4-of-7 shooting on 3-pointers, in the most lopsided game in 1A girls history.

Reardon 67, Northwest Christian (Colbert) 52: Arizona State-bound Kelsey Moos had 28 points and 15 rebounds as the Indians (28-1) earned their third straight 2B title with a win over the Crusaders (23-6) in Spokane.

Moos, a 6-foot senior, overcame two early fouls and finished with 10-for-16 shooting from the floor.

Colton 55, Sunnyside Christian 40: Jenna Moser scored 20 points and the Wildcats (25-1) rallied from a slow start to win its fifth straight 1B state championship in Spokane.

Katelyn Banks scored 13 points and Stormee Van Belle had 11 rebounds for the Knights (28-1).
