The state Fish and Wildlife Commission seeks applicants to fill three vacancies on its advisory committee for persons with disabilities.
The seven members advise the commission on issues of concern for hunters and fishers with disabilities, including special hunts, modified equipment, access to public land and recreational opportunities.
Members are appointed by the commission. Applicants must have a permanent physical disability and live in the state.
The vacant positions represent Region 2 (Adams, Chelan, Douglas, Grant and Okanogan counties); Region 5 (Clark, Cowlitz, Klickitat, Lewis, Skamania and Wahkiakum counties); and “at large” statewide.
Members serve four-year terms and are required to attend advisory committee meetings at least twice each year. Members serve without compensation, but receive reimbursement for travel expenses.
For an application form or additional information, contact Dolores Noyes at 360-902-2349 or go to wdfw.wa.gov/accessibility.
Applications must be submitted by March 10 to: Dolores Noyes, Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, 600 Capitol Way N., Olympia, WA 98501-1091.
