Reasons to consider buying an electric vehicle will be discussed March 12 by a Pacific Northwest National Laboratory scientist.

Michael Kintner-Meyer speaks at 7 p.m. at the Mid-Columbia Library, 1620 S. Union St., Kennewick. His talk is part of PNNL's Community Science and Technology seminar Series.

Kintner-Meyer will bring PNNL's test vehicle to the talk, which will cover key differences in the performance, cost and environmental impacts of electric vehicles and hybrid electric vehicles versus gasoline vehicles.
