Pierce Transit schedules public meetings on service cuts

Pierce Transit will have the first in a series of nine meetings Wednesday to inform the public about a 28-percent cut in service starting in late September.

Pierce Transit will have the first in a series of nine meetings Wednesday to inform the public about a 28-percent cut in service starting in late September.

The first meeting will from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Rainier Room of the Pierce Transit Training Center, 3720 96th St. S.W., Lakewood.

Meetings are scheduled through April 9. They will take place at the University of Washington Tacoma, in Northeast Tacoma, Parkland-Spanaway, Puyallup, Gig Harbor, and University Place.
