The 16th annual Gig Harbor Garden Tour will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 29 and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 30.

The self-guided event showcases outstanding gardens in the Gig Harbor area, and it supports the adult basic education program at Tacoma Community College, as well as the “Reach Out and Read” national reading program.

This year’s featured speakers will be gardener and author Ciscoe Morris, who will speak at 7 p.m. June 27 at Kensington Gardens, and author Riz Reyes, who will speak at 2 p.m. June 29 at Sehmel Homestead Park.

Tickets for the garden tour will be available starting June 1 at multiple locations in Gig Harbor, Tacoma and around the Key Peninsula.

The annual “Dig the Gig” auction event will be held June 14 at Canterwood Golf & Country Club. For more information, visit gigharborgardentour.org.
