Certain types of wheat bread sold under the Fred Meyer, Kroger and QFC labels in Washington state are being recalled because the loaves may contain pieces of plastic.
The affected bread was shipped Feb. 22-25 to stores, with a sell by date of March 8, followed by the code FK 053. Loaf size varied between 20 and 24 ounces, according to the Food and Drug Administration.
The following breads are affected, listed by product and UPC Code:
Kroger Value Wheat Bread, UPC 11110 02199.
QFC Tender Twist Wheat Bread, 11110 20231 .
Fred Meyer Tender Twist Honey Cracked Wheat Bread, 11110 23004 .
Fred Meyer Tender Twist 100 percent Whole Wheat Bread, 11110 23005.
Fred Meyer Tender Twist Wheat Bread, 11110 23006.
