Evolution Irish Dance Troupe rehearsed Tuesday at Urban Grace Church in Tacoma for their performance in the Bia-Ceol-Damhsa, an evening of Irish food, music and dance to be held Saturday at St. Patrick School in Tacoma. Money raised at the charity event will help fund the St. Leo's Food Connection's Backpack Program, which provides two days' worth of food every Friday throughout the school year to more than 500 local children who otherwise might go hungry.

The event runs from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $50 and include dinner, drinks, live Irish music and the Evolution Irish Dance performance. Call 253-572-9405 for tickets.
