A man who suffered a medical condition lost control of his pickup Wednesday and collided with a Link train in downtown Tacoma.

It was the second collision involving a Link light rail train this week.

The pickup driver, a man in his 40s, was taken to a local hospital following the wreck. Police said it appeared he had a seizure before losing control. He was expected to survive. No one on the train was hurt.

The collision occurred about 7:20 p.m. in the 100 block of South 25th Street.

The pickup was headed east when it struck the train. Two passengers and the train’s operator declined medical attention, Sound Transit officials said.

Damage to the train was light.
