Tumwater Municipal Court Judge J.V. Lyman announced his retirement Thursday, effectively immediately, according to a news release.
Judge Lyman began his career with Tumwater as a pro tem judge in 1976 and has been the presiding judge for Tumwater Municipal Court since 1989. No interruption to the current Tumwater Municipal Court calendar is anticipated.
Tumwater’s court will continue to operate with pro tem judges while the city reviews judicial service options, including a contract with Thurston County District Court. For questions about court schedules, please call the City of Tumwater Court Clerk at 360-754-4190.
