The Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers have officially announced their previously reported trade that will send veteran wide receiver Anquan Boldin to the Niners.

Various media outlets that included the Baltimore Sun stated on Monday that the Ravens will acquire a sixth-round pick in the upcoming NFL Draft for Boldin, who had six catches for 104 yards and a touchdown against the 49ers in Baltimore's victory in Super Bowl XLVII last month. The deal will be completed once Boldin passes a physical.

Boldin was a big factor in Baltimore's Super Bowl run this past season, hauling in 22 passes for 380 yards and four touchdowns in four postseason games. The 32-year-old had 65 receptions for 921 yards and four scores during the regular season, and has eclipsed the 1,000-yard mark in receiving yards five times during his 10-year career.

"We are excited to add Anquan to our roster," said 49ers general manager Trent Baalke. "He is a highly competitive and productive player with strong leadership qualities that will be a welcome addition to our team and community."

The Ravens decided to part ways with the three-time Pro Bowl selection primarily due to financial reasons, with previous reports indicating that Boldin had refused to take a salary reduction to help Baltimore get under the salary cap.

Boldin had spent three seasons with the Ravens following a productive seven- year stint with Arizona, which traded the physical wideout to Baltimore in March of 2010. He has amassed 772 receptions totaling 10,165 yards and 58 touchdowns over 140 career games.
