BELLINGHAM - The Iowa Street onramp to southbound Interstate 5 will be closed for a few hours Thursday, March 14, so crews can replace a damaged guardrail.
The ramp will be closed from 10 a.m. to about 3 p.m., according to the state Department of Transportation.
Detour signs will direct drivers to the Sunset Drive onramp during the closure.

Work on the blue bridge will slow traffic today and Wednesday on Highway 395.
The state is placing LED lighting, which it says is longer lasting and more energy efficient, on the bridge.
The state Department of Transportation will close the Lewis Street on-ramp and close the highway's right southbound lane between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. today.
Crews will close a section of eastbound state Route 16 in Tacoma late tonight to continue work on the Nalley Valley project, according to the state Department of Transportation.
Drivers in Tacoma will have to contend with two freeway closures tonight.
From 10 p.m. Friday, April 26, through 4 a.m. Monday, April 29, crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will close the westbound older Tacoma Narrows Bridge to replace a problematic expansion joint. During that time, state Route 16 traffic will be reduced to two lanes in each direction and both directions will use the newer eastbound bridge.
It could be a long summer for Tacoma commuters. Traffic engineers at the state Department of Transportation say a three-month closure of one of the city’s busiest freeway off-ramps will cause daily backups that could stretch for miles in both directions of Interstate 5.
