Justin Leighton, Pierce Transit’s government relations officer, will temporarily take public questions for the agency.
Leighton will take over for Lars Erickson, who resigned as public relations officer and plans to start as the director of communications at the state Department of Transportation on March 18.
Erickson served in the public relations role since December 2007 with the exception of an eight-month absence in 2011.
