The 24th annual Spring Fair will return to the Washington State Fair and Events Center from April 18-21.

New this year will be an exhibit called Aussie Kingdom, which will feature three shows throughout the course of the event and showcase kangaroos, wallabies and walleroos, plus other Australian wildlife such as lizards, birds and dragons.

Other new additions include a root beer garden for kids at the KidZone Too! It will be held inside the Red Gate, an area that also will feature face painting and Kids Town America.

In addition, there will be Auto Alley, showcasing the racing world of dragsters, funny cars and more from Pacific Raceways, and the LeMay Family Collection Foundation will display a selection of automobiles.

For more information about the Spring Fair, visit www.thefair.com. Advance discount tickets can be purchased online.

Starting March 25, advance gate tickets will be available at Fred Meyer stores, Safeway stores and the South Hill Mall for $7.50 (adults), and $5.50 (students 6-18). A coupon will be included that will offer six rides or games for $16 (it excludes Extreme Scream and Roller Coaster).

The Spring Fair in Puyallup started in 1990. It’s considered the Pacific Northwest’s biggest celebration of spring and the seventh largest fair in the state.
