M arch 1 — A crew responded to a 9-1-1 report of a man with slurred speech who was on his back in a ditch. Responders located the man, who admitted he consumed a large quantity of alcohol and was attempting to walk home. He said he wasn’t hurt after he fell. The man was given a courtesy transport to his home a half-mile away following an on-scene evaluation.

Tacoma police are investigating an early morning shooting that seriously injured one man.
A man was fatally shot in a Tacoma motel room early this morning, police said.
