The Carolina Panthers signed cornerback Drayton Florence on Wednesday.

The Carolina Panthers signed cornerback Drayton Florence on Wednesday.

A 10-year veteran, Florence spent last season with Detroit and totaled 19 tackles, one interceptions and seven passes defensed in eight games.

He broke his arm in Week 2 and was placed on injured reserve before returning to action in Week 11.

Drafted in the second round by San Diego in 2003, the 32-year-old has totaled 460 tackles, 18 interceptions and 86 passes defensed in 143 games. He has also played for Jacksonville and Buffalo.
