Two local support groups -- the Better Breathers group and a group for people with pulmonary hypertension -- are combining to form a single group, which will meet the third Thursday of the month at the Tri-Cities Cancer Center, 7350 W. Deschutes Ave., Kennewick.

Their next meeting is from 10:30 a.m. to noon Thursday. Registered nurse Amy Downey will speak about how exercise can help with shortness of breath.

The newly combined group is for pulmonary patients and caregivers.
