The new Michaels location at Gig Harbor's Point Fosdick Square shopping center will open on April 28. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 9:45 a.m., and doors to the arts and crafts retailer will open at 10 a.m.
The store, at 4831 Point Fosdick Drive NW, is approximately 18,480 square feet and will employ over 60 people.
Michaels, North America's largest arts and crafts specialty chain, will give away over $1000 in gift cards and prizes every hour throughout the first day of operation. Customers will be able to win items at a prize wheel, and gift basket giveaways will continue every night of the new store's first week of business.
