A forecast for high winds canceled Wednesday night’s closure of eastbound state Route 16.

The state Department of Transportation will continue to monitor weather forecasts to determine whether subsequent closures scheduled for today and Saturday will still occur.

The closures are scheduled for girder-setting work for the Interstate 5/state Route 16 Eastbound Nalley Valley project. It will replace the original eastbound structure that spanned Nalley Valley and complete the state Route 16/Sprague Avenue interchange.
