Kennewick church plans financial peace classes

Word of Faith Center in Kennewick is holding a series of Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University courses beginning at 9 a.m. April 14.

The course meets once a week and a different lesson is taught by Dave on DVD followed by a small-group discussion. Lessons include budgeting, relationships and money, getting out of debt, saving for emergencies and investing.

The church is at 1350 South Rainier St., Kennewick.

    A reminder to Kennewick students and their parents that schools in the Kennewick School District, as well as Tri-Tech Skills Center in Kennewick, will be in session today after the winter break.

    Pasco and Richland schools, as well as Delta High School, reopen Monday.

    The Historic Downtown Kennewick Partnership seeks nominations for the 2013 Downtowner of the Year award, which recognizes volunteer service promoting and revitalizing the downtown area.

    Application deadline is April 5. There is no requirement that nominees live in Kennewick. To nominate someone, visit historickennewick.org and download the application form.

  • Lincoln Elementary sets meeting on school move

    KENNEWICK -- Lincoln Elementary School is holding an information night for those interested in the school's upcoming move.

    This fall, Lincoln will be in the Fruitland Building in Kennewick while its current building is remodeled.

    The meeting will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Lincoln Elementary School gym, 4901 W. 20th Ave., Kennewick.
