Franklin County sheriff to speak to GOP group

Franklin County Sheriff Richard Lathim will discuss the new marijuana law during the Tri-Cities Republican Women's Club's Monday meeting.

Dinner begins at 6 p.m., with the meeting at 7p.m. The meeting will be at Tony Roma's restaurant, 8551 W. Gage Blvd., Kennewick.

    The Richland School Board's regular meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.

    The board usually meets on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month but moved it to accommodate board member Rick Donahoe, who is taking classes at Washington State University Tri-Cities on Tuesday nights.

    The possibility of permanently moving the meetings to Wednesdays is expected to be discussed at this week's meeting, according to staff.

  • Rod & Gun Club to meet Tuesday Kennewick Elks Lodge

    The Richland Rod & Gun Club will hold its general meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Kennewick Elks Lodge.

    FoxPro field staff member Jerry Malbeck will speak about tactics for successful predator hunting.
