Murder charge filed in shooting that killed 1, wounded 3 in Sumner last year

Pierce County prosecutors have charged a 29-year-old man with a shooting that left one man dead and three others wounded last year outside a Sumner motel.

A warrant was issued this week for the arrest of Quentin Lorenzo Simmons. He is charged with one count of first-degree murder and three counts of first-degree assault.

His girlfriend, Elyse Monique Gladue, also is being sought. Prosecutors have charged Gladue, 29, with first-degree rendering criminal assistance.
