A 22-year-old Auburn man has pleaded not guilty to charges that he caused a car wreck that killed his passenger in February.
Brian Sicade was charged last month with second-degree murder, vehicular homicide, unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle, attempting to elude police and third-degree driving with a suspended license.
He was arraigned and entered his plea Monday in Pierce County Superior Court. Judge Bryan Chushcoff ordered Sicade jailed in lieu of $750,000 bail.
Washington State Patrol troopers believe Sicade was at the wheel of a stolen Chevrolet Monte Carlo that crashed Feb. 4 as the driver fled police on Interstate 5 near Port of Tacoma Road. His passenger, 45-year-old Victor Wilson, died.
Charging papers show Sicade’s blood-alcohol level was 0.15 shortly after the wreck. The legal limit in Washington is firstname.lastname@example.org
