A Seattle to Portland Bicycle Classic rider was injured after being hit by a car near Roy Saturday morning, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The male bicyclist was taken to the hospital with a possible broken ankle and minor abrasions, according to Trooper Guy Gill. The collision scene is clear, Gill said.
Ten thousand cyclists are expected to ride through Thurston County on the 202.25 mile-route from Seattle to Portland Saturday and Sunday during the 34th annual Group Health Seattle to Portland Bicycle Classic.
The halfway point is Centralia.
