A 3-year-old boy was injured Saturday afternoon after falling out of a third-floor window in Seattles University District, said officials with the Seattle Fire Department.
The incident happened around 3:30 p.m. in the 5000 block of 30th Avenue Northeast.
Witnesses told KIRO news that the boy tumbled out of the window, which did not appear to have a screen.
The owner of a bike shop across the street said a driver stopped to help the boy.
The boy had a head injury and some fractures. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, and he is currently in critical condition.
