3 hospitalized after head-on crash near Auburn, 2 in serious condition

Staff writerJuly 23, 2013

At least three people were hospitalized and two were in serious condition after a head-on crash near Auburn Tuesday night, Mountainview Fire & Rescue spokesman Tim Perciful said.

A truck and SUV crashed about 8:40 p.m. in the 18200 block of Green Valley Road Southeast.

The road was closed there as Sheriff's deputies investigate.

A man driving the small truck and his female passenger, both in their 20s, were taken to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition, Perciful said.

A man and woman in their 40s or 50s were in the SUV, he said.

Of those two, Perciful said one was taken to the hospital with minor injuries and that he wasn't sure if the other needed hospital treatment.

King County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Cindi West said further details about the crash and what caused it were not immediately available Tuesday night.
