A public memorial service for Olympia High School teacher and coach Todd McDougall will be at 4 p.m. Aug. 9 at Saint Martin’s University’s Marcus Pavilion.

A reception at the Olympia High School will follow.

McDougall, a 1988 graduate of Stadium High School, died Saturday at age 43 after a seven-month battle with brain cancer. He taught English, and coached football and baseball at Olympia since 1992.

Julie McDougall, Todd’s wife, said in lieu of flowers, a scholarship fund will be set up in McDougall’s name for people to donate.
