Suspected groper arrested in Tacoma

Staff writerAugust 12, 2013

A 20-year-old man suspected of groping women in the city’s North End was arrested over the weekend, Tacoma police said.

At least four women in the past week reported a man on a bicycle who would ride by and grab their buttocks. Officers received a bulletin with a description of the groper and a school resource officer recognized the man pedaling on 6th Avenue Friday evening.

Police arrested him on suspicion of four counts of indecent liberties. He was also held on a warrant for negligent driving.

The suspect was not listed in the Pierce County jail roster Monday night, and charges had not been filed against him.
