Tacoma pedestrian suffers life-threatening injuries in hit-and-run

A Tacoma pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries overnight in a hit-and-run accident on South 12th Street.

Tacoma police say they have identified the driver but so far have been unable to locate him.

Officers and medics responded to the scene in the 3900 block of South 12th and learned that the suspect had fled on foot following the crash.

The Police Department’s fatality accident team was called out for investigation.

Neither the victim nor the driver have so far been publicly identified.
