Spanaway man who allegedly pimped women with sister pleads not guilty

Staff writerAugust 26, 2013

A Spanaway man accused of a partnering with his sister to pimp a woman has pleaded not guilty to first-degree promoting prostitution.

Pierce County prosecutors said Anthony Britt, 28, prostituted one woman for a month, posting ads on and supplying her with Oxycontin in exchange for the money she earned.

Britt was arrested July 24 during a prostitution sting in Lakewood. During a police interview, he admitted to exchanging text messages with the victim but denied being her pimp. He claimed his sister, who has not been charged in this case, was the pimp.

Britt’s sister has been arrested during several undercover prostitution stings this year, according to court records.

More charges could be filed against Britt, a registered sex offender, if more victims are found.
