Auburn apartment damaged in early morning fire

Firefighters quickly gained control of a blaze that severely damaged an apartment in Auburn early this morning, according to Valley Regional Fire Authority.

Crews responded to the 6-plex at 12 D Street Northwest about 4:45 a.m. and quickly doused the flames. One resident was displaced.

A cause for the fire has not been determined.
